Ingredients
For stuffing
Sweet
potato/Genusu gadda – 4
Sugar
– 5 tsp
Coconut powder – 2 Tsp
Coconut powder – 2 Tsp
Elachi
powder – ½ tsp
Dry
fruits chopped – ¼ cup
Ghee –
1 tsp
For Dough
All
purpose flour – 1 cup
Salt
to taste
Oil –
2 tsp
Method
For dough
- In a bowl add flour, salt and mix well.
- Add enough water to make very smooth dough. Apply oil to your palms and mix well.
- Keep aside for 30 mins. Divide into balls.
For stuffing
- In a microwave safe bowl place sweet potatoes and cook for 7 mins.
- Remove from microwave. Peel and mash the potatoes.
- In a pan add ghee and roast the dry fruits. Keep aside.
- To the same pan add mashed mixture, sugar. Mix well until it has to form balls after cooling.
- Add elachi powder, dry fruits and mix well. Keep it aside to cool.
- Make this mixture into lemon sized balls.
For Bobbatlu
- Apply oil to your palms.
- Take flour ball and spread as small puri using hands.
- Place stuffing in the center and cover the stuffing completely.
- Take a plastic sheet and apply oil. Place the stuffed ball.
- Flatten each ball like puri using your fingers.
- Heat a tawa and fry it on low flame for two sides.
- While frying apply ghee to bobbatu.
